Ich hoffe es ist ok auf Englisch zu schreiben. Deutsch ist unten.
I've had my ST5 for just a month, and I ride it to work (around 25 km) which uses about 20% of the battery, leaving it reading 80% left. So after the working day, I go back to the bike and find it has just 20% battery left, only just enough to get back home! Is this a problem anyone else has seen?
Thanks and regards,
Pete

hi Pete
A 5 - 8% loss during a working day is quite usual. The lock-functionality as well as the Omni-connect use some battery, but never ever 60%!
From my point of view, your bike needs a check-up with your Stromer dealer.
5 - 8% Ladungsverlust während eines Arbeitstages sind aufgrund der lock-Funktion und dem Omni-connect normal, aber niemals 60%!
Ich würde schleunigst einen Termin beim Händler vereinbaren.

hi pete,
is it a daily problem or only if you paused some days?

Thanks for the replies!
It's happening every time I leave it for a while. I thought it was because I was keeping it at work in an underground carpark (so maybe the phone/GPS/bluetooth needs more energy to connect), but it also happened when I left if it in my friend's backyard for many hours. I took it to my local dealer while I was on holidays last week and they couldn't reproduce the problem. I have just tried turning off the bluetooth functionality and will see if that makes a difference.

I had the same problem - at random intervals the battery would discharge while the bike was turned off. In the end, Stromer installed a new display.
Things to look out for: Does the display get warm when turned off?
Do you leave your battery charging for longer period of times? I was told by Stromer that this could also cause this problem (though I do not understand how that could be the cause - after 3 days of charging the bike was at 100%; I arrived at work at about 70% - and 6 hours later (switched off) it was down to about 20%). I must say I was quite surprized that a charger that expensive does not automatically switch to some form of maintenance charging — this is standard for chargers costing a fraction of what Stromer charges.
