Hello Forum,
I changed and removed the back wheel several times over the past 2 years without problems, but recently the motor cable on my ST5 got damaged by the friction to the brake disc, after I replaced it wrongly. Urban Ebikes, the only dealer in the UK tells me that it will cost over CHF 2200.00 to change as the whole motor and wheel needs to be replaced. Has anyone else had experience of this? It seems extraordinarily wasteful to change the whole motor AND wheel, just because the protection to an electric cable is damaged. It will also take several weeks, normally months, before the parts arrive here in the UK.
I envy Swiss owners who have access to a good network of dealerships near their home…
